Use Your Ceiling Fan Year Round

Summer Mode

Run the fan counterclockwise. The airflow creates a wind chill effect on your skin keeping you pleasantly cool, while lowering energy costs.

Winter Mode

In winter, switch the fan to the clockwise direction. The warm air that collects near the ceiling is distributed evenly throughout the room eliminating cold spots and drafts. Increase your comfort while decreasing heating costs.

Low Ceilings

Westinghouse offers a wide array of attractive ceiling fans ideal for rooms with low ceilings. Install ceiling fans that fit flush to the ceiling or fans without an extension rod.

Standard Ceilings

In rooms with a ceiling height of 2,50 metres, ceiling fans can be installed with or without an extension rod.

High Ceilings

In rooms with high ceilings, ceiling fans should be installed with an extension rod.

For optimum performance, ceiling fan blades should be at least 2,2 metres from the floor but no higher than 2,50 - 2,80 metres.
