A service agreement or contract offering prolonged warranty to consumers in addition to normal warranty given on a new product. The additional maintenance is offered by a warranty administrator, retailer or manufacturer. An extended warranty costs something extra and forms a certain part of retail price of the item.
Terms and Conditions:
Extended warranties have certain terms and conditions that do not match with original provisions. For example, the warranty may not cover a mechanical failure arising outside the normal usage. Exclusions may include commercial use, owner abuse, and malicious destruction. At the time of repair, out-of-pocket expenses may be incurred for a service provided beyond the warranty terms or uncovered parts. Please read the terms carefully before signing any contract.
