Product Description
Dyson DC50 Multi Floor ultra-lightweight Dyson Ball upright vacuum DC50 Multi Floor weighs just 5.4kg but has the performance of a full-size upright. The technology inside has not simply been ‘shrunk’, but concentrated – every angle and dimension re-engineered. Four key cleaner head technologies combine to give DC50 Multi Floor Dyson’s most advanced cleaner head technology yet. It has been engineered for increased dirt pick-up across all floors. The cleaner head adjusts automatically to different floor types, and the brush bar contains carbon fibre filaments for removing fine dust from hard floors. Like all Dyson vacuums, DC50 Multi Floor has no bag, so there’s no loss of suction. Instead, patented cyclone technology spins dust and dirt from the air. With 2 Tier Radial cyclones, DC50 Multi Floor has 19 cyclones that work in parallel across two tiers to generate high centrifugal forces. More microscopic particles as small as 0.5 microns are captured from the airflow. Unlike ordinary upright vacuum cleaners, DC50 Multi Floor rides on a ball. It turns on the spot, steering easily around furniture and into difficult places. DC50 Multi Floor has Dyson’s latest Ball technology. Even more of the machine’s key components are located inside the ball itself. This reduces clutter on the outside of the machine, streamlining its profile.

Dyson Technology
Dyson engineers are constantly testing and inventing, trying to find new ways to make their technology work better. As they work, they file patent applications to protect their inventions from copycat manufacturers. That’s why the only place you’ll find Dyson technology is inside a Dyson machine.
Ball technology to help you steer with ease
Dyson Ball upright vacuum cleaners use patented Ball technology to overcome the steering limitations of fixed wheels. They ride on a ball, which turns on the spot so you can steer with ease. DC50 Animal has Dyson’s latest Ball technology. Even more of the machine’s key components are located inside the ball itself. This reduces clutter on the outside of the machine for even easier steering into difficult places. The ball itself is made of ABS and polycarbonate, the same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. It combines high impact strength with resistance to distortion. The ball also holds the heaviest component (the motor), positioned towards the base for a lower centre of gravity and greater stability.
Two Tier Radial Cyclones
Ordinary vacuum cleaners rely on bags to trap dust and dirt. The more that you use them, the tiny holes in the bag clog with particles of dust. Then the air flow is restricted, so the vacuum cleaner loses suction over time. Dyson uses Cyclone technology, spinning the air at incredibly high speeds. Dust, dirt, and pet hair are flung out of the airflow and straight into the bin. There's no bag. No loss of suction. The DC50 is the first Dyson upright vacuum to feature a double stack of cyclones. 19 inner cyclones arranged across 2 tiers work in parallel to increase airflow and separate more microscopic dust. The cyclones are Dyson's smallest to date, and their reduced size creates high centrifugal forces to separate fine dust from the airflow.
